“These new cameras reflect John Deere’s commitment to quality and durability,” said Dean Hamke, Category Licensing Manager with John Deere. “The Tend platform literally helps our customer stay linked to the land. There is a sense of security knowing that your family, and your property, are safe and sound.”
The cameras are available for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Multiple cameras can be configured on any network to monitor various points of interest, and new cameras can be added quickly and easily at any time. Both cameras offer motion-triggered recording and alerts to notify users of activity detection. Each includes a free lifetime subscription to 24-hours of cloud storage to preserve video clips for review, with additional storage available. Both are available with Tend’s optional premium services, including Smart Detection ($2.99/month) that integrates computer vision technology to differentiate activities and people and reduce false alarms by up to 98 percent, 14-day cloud storage ($9.99/month) and 30-day cloud storage ($19.99/month).
“The John Deere brand is synonymous with connecting people to the land through technology and equipment that are both durable and user-friendly,” said Herman Yau, Tend co-founder and CEO. “These outstanding cameras overcome the complexity of most other systems by making them very easy to set up and get started. Partnering with John Deere also means these products are accessible to a much wider market, giving more people an easy and effective way to keep tabs on what matters most to them from anywhere.”
With over 700,000 cameras already on the Tend platform, their computer vision technology provides an all-in-one access, monitoring, storage and smart detection technology that makes state-of-the-art video monitoring simple and user-friendly. The Tend platform has been certified by numerous leading ISPs as secure with full encryption to protect users’ privacy.
John Deere dealers can get a sneak peek at the cameras on display in the Tend Booth #206 during the 2016 Deere & Company After Market Expo set for Dec. 4-14 at the Austin (Texas) Convention Center.
